Storage Store in tightly sealed, corrosion-resistant containers in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area away from moisture, acids, aluminum, organic materials, and incompatible substances. Protect from humidity and direct sunlight. Use appropriate secondary containment and ensure containers are clearly labeled according to chemical safety standards.

Safety & Handling (SDS Summary) Highly corrosive; causes severe burns to skin and eyes. Always wear appropriate PPE including chemical-resistant gloves, goggles, face shield, and protective clothing. Avoid inhalation of dust and contact with skin or eyes. Add flakes slowly to water—never add water to caustic soda—to prevent violent reactions and splashing. Use proper ventilation and emergency eyewash/shower stations. In case of exposure, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical attention.
