Fehling’s Solution A
Fehling’s Solution A is an alkaline copper(II) sulfate solution used in Fehling’s test for the qualitative and quantitative detection of reducing sugars. It is used in combination with Fehling’s Solution B to produce a red cuprous oxide precipitate in the presence of reducing sugars.
